Join us Thursday, 25th September, from 12pm–1pm for our first Entrepreneur in Residence Masterclass of the new academic year, held in celebration of Scotland’s Innovation Week. This session will feature GCU graduate and Honorary Professor Mick O’Connor.
Mick is a Chartered Engineer, Chartered Director, and entrepreneur with over four decades of experience across sectors including aerospace, defence, energy, financial services, aviation, shipbuilding, oil, and space. He began his career as an apprentice welder in the Clyde shipyards and went on to found HAELO, a technology company focused on governance, risk, and compliance solutions.
Now, as an Honorary Professor, Mick sees his role as both a privilege and a responsibility. He is particularly focused on entrepreneurship, and in helping students and graduates prepare to build the technology businesses of the future.
A networking lunch will be provided from 1pm–2pm, offering attendees the chance to connect and continue the conversation informally.
